I have had Alopecia totalis for the past 25 years since before I got married. My family has been very supportive during the loss dealing with it until present. For the pas 25 years I've never ventured out without my wig, mostly I was worried of the reaction of other people and how it will affect my girls. Now both of my girls are out of high school and both in College, we all agreed that its' time to retire the wigs for the weekend. I think that awareness is very important, because people do not know about Alopecia. I'm ready to do whatever I can to bring awareness to the world about this disease, among the adults but especially among the children.
