Coping with AGA

Hi There,

I am new to the group and am wondering how people are coping. I am not doing well, and I feel awful, hoping to help one another with treatmet and supplemental hair.  Hope this message finds the group.

Androgenetic alopecia is difficlut to come to term with as we can@t talk to poeple about it.
It's makes us paranios, feel ugly and depressed in mood - hair loss can control your thoughts 24 7.
How I have coped with it is to finally accept there is no cure - stop searching internet for cures for 15 yr old lost hair - found a freind with AGA - but mostly found a hair loss concealment solution that is perfect for me - that gives me confidenace that people are not staring at me.
I found that finding a way of hiding it (that I think is perfect) was the best thing I ever did instead of buying pills, potions and toppix!!
I am 40 now and it took me the 15 years to get here. the best thing apart from the hair solution and still is was picking up the phone to female fellow suffers.
Have you got someone to talk to? This is a good place to find someone and once you start you will find so many common experinces, emotions and thoughts:))))

I have had AGA since I was a teenager. Now at 25 my hair is 3/4 of the way gone. Unfortunately I dont really have anyone to talk to about it but my family, and they dont understand. For the most part I am coping ok but somedays are better than others. Right now I am hiding it so I think that helps but I'm getting pretty sick of using the toppik/headband combo.
