I've recently got my Freedom wig & need to learn to put it on perfectly before I get it cut & styled, as otherwise it may end up getting cut at the wrong angle!!

Out of about 25 times of trying, twice I've felt I had suction. However I then did a little test by lightly pulling the hair with the strength that a baby would use, and the wig did actually come away from my head!

The reason for this test: I don't swim or go on rollercoasters much, however I do find myself holding babies now and then! Of course the first thing a baby does is go for your hair, and I thought (& was told) this would be an advantage of a vacuum wig; that it won't budge even if the hair is pulled.

I realise I shouldn't be pulling the hair, but I have to know whether it's normal for it to come off during those circumstances. If it is; then I will never hold a baby again for fear of them pulling my wig off! If it isn't, then either my wig is faulty or I'm still not putting it on right.

Thank you for getting this far and any replies/advice/shared experiences would be really appreciated!

This is odd. Ive gone on rollarcoasters at 6 flags and my wig stayed on. I have two and I did notice one suctions better or fits better than the other. I'd talk to your rep and maybe have her help you find the right fit.

Hi Mary.
From experience I would say it shouldn't come off that easily. Try tilting it forward a bit when you put it on as I found I was originally putting mine on too far back. Also its important that your head is relatively hair free as that also reduces suction. It does take a bit of getting used to but you will soon get the hang of it.

Thank you ladies! I actually do have a very small amount of 'fluff' on my head. I didn't think it would be enough to make a difference, but to be on the safe side I'll shave it off. & I know when I originally tried the wig on with my Freedom rep she said I was putting it too far back, so perhaps I'm still doing this.

Anyway it's good to know that it shouldn't be like this and that if it can be pulled off relatively easily then I haven't got it in the right place. I will continue to persevere and experiment... Thanks again!

Mary - mine does this as well. The only part that actually seems to have any suction is the top and the crown. If you tug even the slightest other place, it comes loose. Hopefully you're able to figure it out... we're still working on my issues.

Thanks Courtney. I'm hoping I might actually be able to wear it one day! Good luck

Also make sure you don't any sweat on your heat . Your freedom wig will slip right off even if you have enough suction .

I use to wear a lot freedoms lol I was buying one around 1 a year or so but can I just say if your worried about suction or your wig coming off please try a Gripper sport wig from Follea . I work out and sweat in the AUSTRaLIAN heat all the time and it NEVER comes close to coming off !!! I can actually swim like really swim not just put my head under water and worry about it popping off ( like with my freedom ) and the hair IS silky smooth and the actually wig is 10x more durable than any of my freedom wigs . I have had this Gripper for ages !!! And I would have gone though at least 2 freedoms wigs in the time I have been wearing my one gripper that I own and it absolutely looks brand new with little to NO hair loss on it at all .

It's changed my life !!!
