Does anyone have a problem where their piece looses suction over time? When I first got my piece it fit so tight and I loved it. Over time it is looser and is a pain to get it to suction right. I wash my cap every night and dampen it lightly before putting it on. My head has no hair whatsoever on it. Does anyone else have this issue or is it just me?

Yes! I also follow all the instructions to properly care for it and know I am putting it on correctly. I haven't lost suction yet but it does feel stretched out. My last piece lost the suction completely.

Hi Lawgirl88 and Bonnie,
Yes, over time, de-lamination will naturally occur. There will be unavoidable build up on the inside that will lessen suction over time. When you submit for repair -- the interior lining will be completely replaced, restoring original fit and suction. But as the piece ages, it is best to increase interior cap cleaning to counteract some of this effect -- so if you were washing the cap out once a day, I would suggest more. I would also suggest cleaning after any physical activity (whenever it is possible). Lastly, I find with my older pieces, a third step is helpful...I will wash with Anti-bacterial soap (like Dial, Dawn, Palmolive, Bath & Body Works -- but nothing with any added lotions)...wash, rinse, dry AND then use alcohol swabs in the cap. This helps with some of the additional oils that is left behind. I then go ahead and wash out one more time with my soap, rinse, dry. You will find this is VERY helpful as the piece continues to age...

Please know this though -- your agents are FULL of tips! That's what we are here for. So I urge you both and anyone else with Freedom questions to please go straight to the source! I've worn these pieces for 20 years now...so if there isn't something I've personally encountered at this point -- I will FIND someone else who HAS and we will HELP you through it! Warm Regards ladies, Kim

Thanks!! I will do that! I'm very active and these tips should hopefully help!

Right now I've resurrected my old freedom wig that I haven't worn in a long time, the reason being that I was working outdoors most days and it just got too hot. I've never worn it in water as some have, just too expensive to trust it staying on my head and not swept out to sea. I usually wear a thinskin base wig which is not so snug fitting and going back to my Freedom it is feeling quite tight and will take some time getting used to again. Btw it had lightened a great deal working outside and I put a non-ammonia dye in it and it looks like new...just need to get rid of the strong odour ...
