Seamless. Lightweight. Comfort over beauty. Always eyeshades. Understanding mate.
My husband doesn't mind if I sleep bald or with a sleepcap. I usually wear a sleepcap for warmth.
I usually sleep bald. I like laying my head on a cool pillow. Whenever I go out and its dark (usually on my way home from my best friends house) I take my wig off because I like my head cool not cold I havent done it since its gotten considerably colder outside.
I usually start out with a cotton turban on because most body heat is lost through an uncovered head, and I can't sleep if I'm too cold, but the thing usually ends up in the bedcovers, and if my head feels cold I generally pull the covers up over my head......
I usually wear hats that have some stretch and grip to them so they don't come off, but what works for me to make sure any hat does not fall off are the large Tempurpedic eye shades you can get at Brookstone. They keep any hat in place and are so comfy and large they keep your face warm too.
Definitely not sexy, but excellent for comfort. And I can't prove it, but since I slather my face and eyes with moisturizer every night ( a ritual since I started to wear makeup at age 14)I think these eye shades help reduce the loss of moisture from the whole eye area because they are pressing firmly on the eye area. I think that keeping moisture that's already in the skin from getting out in the first place is the key to healthy skin. And a no hair day means it's a more skin day...so having the slathering ritual a long time, long before alopecia hit, has just been lucky.
What's your style? : Covered when it cool/cold with cotton or felted wool and bare when it's warm, I am ready for warm again!!!
For you and/or benefit of your partner? : Don't have to worry about messing/tangling up what little hair I has left!!!
How do you know when pleasing you is not pleasing your mate? Can you tell? Does it matter? :I haven't had any complaints.
How and when to compromise? : I Haven't had to yet
What's your most comfy bed attire to retire? : Extra lg T-Shirt or Camisole in summer. In the winter Flannel PJ's Bottoms and Long Sleeved Cotton Thermal Shirts, and some kind of natural fiber head covering.
I sleep bald. My husband doesn't care if I wear a cap or go bald. It's more comfortable
I have always slept bald. I hate having things on my head anyway, especially sleeping. The few times I had a head of hair I wore it loose, but nothing feels better in summer heat than a bare head on cool sheets. :)

With my boyfriend, he's known me so long (since we were children in fact) that he doesn't care. I think of everyone I've ever been with, he's the only one that can touch my head in the heat of passion and I won't immediately try to choke him or maim him in self-defense.

Like I told the women in the Women with Alopecia support group at the conference, you can touch me anywhere from the neck down. Anything above the neck is off limits. Period. Most folks respect that. LOL
The only time I've worn something on my head in bed is when I'm chilly. Just like during the day, my head is bald and uncovered unless I'm cold or need sun protection. It's just the best way for me.
