Hello!

I'm very new to all of this. Everyone in my family has gorgeous thick hair with no issues. That was me until July of this year when overnight I lost 25% of my hair in one large spot literally overnight. My only saving grace was that my long hair did well to cover it while wearing a ponytail. With the help of Rogaine, it was finally starting to grow back in and while I worried about new flair ups, I relaxed some. Then tonight a new spot, small yes, but devastating nonetheless.

I'm 41 years old and married to a good man. And that is another devastating thing, my wonderful husband's favorite pastime used to be to absently run his fingers through my hair as we watched tv, which was relaxing to me. He's afraid to now because he's afraid to make it worse and accidentally pull out good hair.

So with this new spot I find myself teary-eyed, scared, and back to worry what this next round means. Thanks for reading.

there's treatment for it. I thought there was no hope and that I would never get my hair back. Now I have hair its just a lot thinner than it was.

Hi ladyeury, id probably be devistated if that happened to me too. My 9 yr old was diagnosed this summer her biggest is the size of a quarter, so im not sure what will happen next. But i just want to say i can only imagin how upset you feel but only know that your hair doesnt make you, and im sure your husband loves you for you and not just because your you with hair :-)  and if it gets to bad you can always get a wig any color any style you can be any sort of fantasy! Keep your head beautiful.
