Where acceptance is all there is!

There was a nice story in the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper this morning about the National Bald Out:

If this link doesn't work, Google "Diane Bell National Bald Out"

I think she did a great job! I gave her a lot of material, including sharing the Alopecia World NBO postings, and the Bald Girls Do Lunch website and T-shirt link. With all that material, she only mixed up a couple of small things - stating that I put the July 19 date in my February 4 AW post (it was announced in my YouTube video April 29), and saying that there were two locations in Canada, and one in England (I think that's the other way around).

Please share links to any news stories about NBO that appear online in this discussion.

Happy National Bald Out Day!

Good article Mary! You, like me, want things to be perfect and someone telling your story never is. The main goal is exposure and it achieved that goal. I know tomorrow is going to be a blessed day with a lot of positivity. This is the humble beginning of what will be an important and well recognized awareness event in the near future. We will see national exposure and we will see the acceptance and awareness we desire--it's just a matter of time. It's exciting to be a small part of something that will help many people with hair loss.

I'm having my bald out early so to speak. I have family here for a reunion next week. They were so shocked to see me without hair yesterday, so it will be an interesting week. So far I'm upbeat and informative which is good because everyone has a lot of questions.

Have great fun tomorrow. Happy National Bald Out Day to you too!
