I am convinced sunscreen is partially the problem with my FFA diagnosis.  I have religiously warn it in my moisturizer, and foundation makeup for many years.  I just went without it for over two weeks (no makeup) and I am already feeling prickly new hairs growing along my hairline.

I have easily found skincare without sunscreen/spf, but I cannot find a quality foundation that has decent coverage for my makeup.

What have you all found?

I bought one yesterday Ester Lauder in a sponge stick.  Have just come from a visit to my trichologist Dr Carol Michaelidis at Phillip Kingsley London who says for years she has been concerned about spf and this stupid condition

As far as I can see, this has no SPF - I hope!

I have used makeup with sunscreen in it FOREVER! I have fair skin so I thought I was doing the right thing. Well, the sunscreen did NO good. I still have precancerous spots that need freezing and FFA. Great!

I too have ditched the sunscreen in my make up after reading comments here. I have been using two different foundations.

Maybelline Dream Mousse Matte Foundation and Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation.

I went to Walgreens and asked the lady in the make up section to help me find foundations without sunscreen. I like these both a lot-better than the stuff I had from BeautyCounter and Clinique. They cover my red blotches on my chin and cheekbones really well...for half the price! :)

Thank you illustr8r!  Of the two that you use, which foundation gives you the better coverage?

Hi ChristiQ!

Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation I think has slightly better coverage.

I bought both not knowing if I'd like either one-but I did like them both. So, I use the Dream Mousse Matte for every day and Dream Velvet for going out and about.

:)
