Has anyone used this Uniwig Claire Remy Human Hair Lace Front Topper  41534-upgrade-claire-remy-human-hair-topper.html or a similar lace front topper?

I just saw a review about it by Lauren from Corner of Hope and Mane and immediately started googling to search for more info and videos and I really like what I saw, it looks very natural and for under $200, well it won't bust my budget and maybe it is a good way to get used to having helper hair until I can do the Lucinda Ellery side pieces/intralace system.  I think I would be able to pull it towards the front of my scalp to conceal the hairloss and tape it down- the sides would still be problematic, but I think the hair from the topper can be pulled down or pinned to the sides to disguise that missing hair too for the time being.  From what I understand it can be colored and curled or whatever because it is human hair which I like a lot- any topper advice would be great! :-)

This looks like a great topper.  I'm going to order.   If any of you have others top pieces that you recommend please let us know.   For those of us who do not live in or around New York or LA close to the Lucinda Ellery studios, we need other viable options.

Also, for those individuals who are using the interlace system from Lucinda Ellery, please ask and/or encourage them to work with beauticians for the monthly maintenance for the system.   It would then be a option to many many more women across the country.

Thanks.

In the UK Lucinda Ellery have opened a couple more but agree, if they could work with beauticians and hairdressers it would make the system more available for many others.

I guess eventually others will provide a similar interlace system so would be good for LE to get there first.

I agree!  Granted, I am only about 2.5/3 hours away from NYC- but it is not so simple to get into the middle of Manhattan every 6-8 weeks for the needed maintenance and with the travel expenses of either driving and paying for tolls/gas/parking or taking the train and paying for the ticket/parking/subway it adds a lot to the overall cost, which would be Forever.   I was thinking last night that maybe I could get the taped in side pieces from Lucinda Ellery and use this topper along with it until I need/can afford to transition to their intralace system.

Dee, have you used a topper before?  How does a topper work for us FFA-ers? does it really help to cover our receding hairlines?  I went to a place once that did wigs and they basically plopped the topper on my head and said there, that is what you need and we will cut color it for you, it costs this much, go make an appointment at the front desk, now go away from me. Needless to says  wasn't too  impressed with the place or even wearing a topper at the end of that appointment!

I just ordered the Uniwig Claire Remy 5.5 inch topper,  Having the 25% off discount until April 16 it made it well worth it for me as it is a lot under $200, so I got myself a little wig stand and extra clips and upgraded the shipping while I was at it!

After having watching countless videos on toppers since discovering this particular topper only yesterday! :-/ I do think I am making a good decision to go with one for the time being, especially at this price!  Back to videos, has anyone watched June Penny on youtube?  I love her attitude and lots of great tips on concealing hair loss and toppers etc.... it is amazing what is out there on youtube about hair loss!

Anyway, my topper should be arriving in 2-3 weeks and then there will be updates from me- as I definitely have to get it cut, as I have a layered, just below chin length bob and long bangs along with having to get it colored to match my own hair.
