I've been using Clobetasol on my scalp every night for over a year (+ shampoo) and been taking low doses of finasteride since last spring everyday. Suddenly the last month I started suffering brutal insomnia!! I can fall asleep at night but I wake up 4-5 hours later and can't fall back to sleep!! This especially sucks when I have to get up at 6:39am for a job on the weekends that requires my complete attention and motor skills to be very keen because I'm helping emotionally vulnerable people who need me to be that way.    :(
HELP! please! Anyone else experience these side effects?

I take finasteride, and I too am not sleeping as well as I used to. I am unsure if it is medicine or menopause. I did notice a weight gain with Finasteride, and also some breast heaviness at first. It is helping my inflammation, and some minor hair growth. Hard to know what to do sometimes.

Hi Cheryl.  I have also gained about 12 pounds and my breasts are larger and tender.  Like I need that!  I am in my early 50's and I'm still menstruating. Late menopause is common on both sides.  Whether I like ti or not, I accept that I must be experiencing peri menopause but, I'm quite sure I'm having side effects from the F and Clo.  I have been getting acupuncture every week for over a year now too.  Finally after weeks, I think they got it right this past week and I'm sleeping better.  it's a constant issue.

Hello!
The best thing to help you with insomnia are physical exercises. Jogging is the best one. It doesn't imply any damage to health. But If you don't have an opportunity to take exercises you may try to listen to podcasts with hypnosis. The best I've encountered is this one https://sleephypnopill.com/. It has two voices and different background music to choose from.

This is probably not the case for you if you've already been using it for over a year, but Clobetasol gave me wild insomnia; I traded it in for mometasone.

actually, I think it did give me insomnia, but I got it sorted out. I was sure it was that though.  I still use it. I have to.

Well you may be stressed or anxious about something, so try to relax, take a bath with Salts & Minerals and have a facial moisturizing mask , listen to some music and fire aroma candles, that should help you to relax..
