Hi everyone

I wonder if some of you also have different skin since the ffa startet? My skin is rough and my derm now thinks (after two skin biopsies with no pathological findings) that there maybe a connection with my hair loss. ..

I also wanted to thank all of you out there for sharing all your informations. It really helps me on this not so easy path. It's not a life-threatening but a life-changing disease.

wish you all strength and courage!

greetings from switzerland

Hey, I am sorry for you, it is bad I know, even if they are noninvasive. I removed those I had when I was at my dermatologist. He shared with me https://www.wartremover.net/h-moles-formula-review/ ointment and said that if I don't want any other way to remove those warts I can use that ointment. I can say that it is a really good remedy, about 10 days and it is gone.

I too have skin changes due to FFA.  I noticed these changes prior to realizing I was losing my hair and went to a dermatologist.  Unbeknownst to her some of what she prescribed for skin inflammation/rosacea, such as Oracea - a low dose doxycycline, may have slowed my FFA progress.   My current hair loss specialist stated that the "bumps" I have on my forehead and temples are papules caused directly by the disease. My understanding is that the same thing is happening with the fine hairs we have on our faces.  The follicle is being attacked, hair falls out and scarring results.  She said the facial skin becomes thinner as a result; also the veins all around my hairline are much more obvious than they used to be because of the thinned skin.  My skin certainly looks more leathery than it used to.  I use Tazorac, Vitamin C, and Azeleic Acid (Fincacea), which has all helped a bit.   It's been recommended that laser treatments may help for the papules, although I haven't pursued this.  Darn FFA - not just my hair, but my face too?

I have had what derms have told me was adult acne/ seborrhea dermatitis ever since I had my first kid eight years ago. It's mostly around inner eyebrows and in between eyebrows, nose corners and chin. I used to get the papules in my hairline that I thought were zits and now I know they were due to FFA and am upset at myself for having squeezed them. Ive tried every cream with non making much of a difference. I'm in doxycycline now for FFA and still not much improvement.
