Hi everyone, my name is Eileen and I was DX about 6 months or so ago. I don't really remember I don't think it matters really. Anyway I think we are all blessed that all we have is some hair loss, could be a lot worse, I do have Celiac Disease and have posted some imformation and talks about the connection between AA and CD. If you are interested and need more information on CD let me know.

Take care
Eileen

Hi everyone. I am a Catholic Christian. My faith has affected my living with my alopecia. Years ago, I was getting injections, using topicals, etc. I got tired of all that. I prayed to God that I would come to accept what was happening to my hair. Yes, I went through the anger, denial, fear, depression, etc., all while living through 2 failed marriages and raising 2 children without a father in the home. I finally realized I was tired of trying to hold onto something that for whatever reason was not meant for me to have at that time. God put me on my hair loss journey for a reason. Who am I to question Him? I really believe that He wants for His children only good. One day I might really understand why this is happening. But now, every day and night and throughout the day I pray for the strength and courage to accept my hair loss. Every day He gives it to me! What a wonderful Father we have!

Hey Guys,
Hope you're all well.
I'd just like to note that the How Has Your Alopecia Affected Your Faith and How Has Your Faith Affected Your Dealing With Your Alopecia are two very different discussion topics.
I've noticed that people are replying to the How Alopecia has effected their faith, but not so much with the other.
Can I just make it clear that they're different questions. I'd like to hear about how you've felt that having a faith has helped or hindered you in dealing with this in the how your faith has affected your dealing with your alopecia discussion.
Of course you don't have to get involved in discussions you don't want to,I just wanted to make sure the difference was clear lol.
Hope you guys are having a good week.
Its great to see the group growing.
Love and God Bless x

Good Morning all,

My pre-teen daughter has alopecia.
I'm glad to see a group for Christians. We rely on our faith to get us through all our "bumps in the road".

Hugs,
Carla

Hey All,
Sorry for my absence over the past wee while.
It's great to see so many new members - welcome to you all :)
I was just wondering how you all felt about the prayer request thread - are you comfortable with it,think its bad idea,or...?
Let me know and if people don't like the idea, then we can take it down.
Hope you're all well.
Megan x
