We have been continuing our homeopathic remedies for my daughter's Alopecia which continues to worsen... after this last dose, her eczema seems to be healing rapidly (it had started to spread to other parts of her body where it generally wasn't evident before and go raised and reddish)... all calmed down overnight. The hair continues to fall out- steadily since February. Who has had their AA resolve itself then recur more than once? The research I have done indicates that if there is recurrence, it is unlikely to resolve itself a second time... hoping it's not true.

wondering if anyone has tried NAET as a remedy for alopecia... I was interested about eczema and alopecia correlations... my daughter had severe eczema at 6 months which was medicated with Zyrtec (a mistake in my opinion)...eczema cleared up instantly and she was on Zyrtec daily for years... we began homeopathic remedies for her alopecia at 4 and half years old and was immediately taken off Zyrtec as it was believed to induce asthma rather than help lessen the odds of developing it. Eczema had been kept clear for the past 2 years, but since the second wave of alopecia (different from the first time), the eczema seems harder to keep under control...

Hi everyone, I have AU for 4 yrs now I lost all my hair when I was 4months preggo but had a couple bald patches before I was pregnant. Anyway I too have eczema and see no difference in it with my Alopecia. It is very interesting to those of you that do.

My eczema seems to be getting worse with my hair loss. My arms itch worse than they have in years.

Angie, Thanks for sharing the info on the bleach bath. I had not heard of that treatment, but it makes sense that killing the infection would help it to heal. I may have to give it a try.

How strange is that, Sam??!

If the eczema gets out of control and seem to not be able to heal, I'm going to share the treatment that a pediatric dermatologist suggested for our son when we were on vacation in Trinidad...one capful of bleach to a gallon of water. Before you flip out (like we did), it is no worse than swimming in a chlorinated pool. The same day that we did the bath was the first night we didn't have to wake up at 3am scratching. It really worked. She explained that in order for the eczema rashes to heal, the germs that infected them had to be killed. When we told our regular dermatologist here in the US, she googled it on WebMD and found it's all the rave in dermatology. It really worked!

Just wanted to chime in and say that my eczema got better when I developed alopecia. My hair has been growing back recently and my eczema is back with a vengeance. Can't complain, though, since I'm happy to have hair again.
