Two years ago while being part of a Wisconsin Shih Tzu rescue group, a little wide-eyed, snub-nosed hairless dog was needing rescue from an Oklahoma shelter which had contacted our 7-state organization. Being AU, I volunteered to do the fostering but eventually like our other dogs, it was quickly adopted. After a few months, a coarse coat appeared along with a terrier personality. Just never know what will happen when the new hairpiece arrives.

We just got back from the Oregon Coast...the dogs loved it as much as we did. I love to see their carefree attitude running on the beach chasing seagulls. Though when it was time to head home they were probably more anxious than us go home. I think even my furlegged kids like the comforts of home :-)
I'll post some pictures soon of the bliss on their little faces :-)

Took my two little (big) beasts to the dog park today. Of course Hera has to run into the most disgusting mud puddle....she's all happy about it until we get home and she has to have a bath. Samson, my old fart even had a good time running around and chasing the other dogs.

I present: Samantha and Mouse! Sammy raised Mouse from kittenhood, and thinks she "owns" him.

Both of my dogs were rescues...Hera the lab mix is almost 3 and she is the trouble maker probably because she is to smart for her own good. Samson the fuzzy one is the old fart, he is 11....I personally think he is the instigator :-)
Looking forward to hearing more stories of everyones furry kids.

Hey!

I thought of you all today - I went to a spring festival and one entire section was dachshund rescue! Doxifest they called it... and they were everywhere you looked.... a little sea of tiny "hotdog" dogs.... it was quite the sight! Shew and I thought Bentley had short legs... haha! It was just too cute :)
