Thank you, Alice. I do believe that Dad is receiving better medical care than he has ever received. Now it's up to Dad to do his part. :-)
Hello RJ and cheryl

My thoughts are with you. When I read your post I understood exactly what you may be feeling. After the earthquake in Christchurch I am also looking after my dear wee dad (He is a very ill man, but just as cute as a button). It's a joy and hard work all mixed up together.

I hope your Dad is doing better and we hear from you again soon on a happier note.

Take care

Rosy
Rose Marie, I'm confident that your dad is in the best of hands. :-)

It's a joy and hard work, indeed, to take care for anyone who can't take care of himself.

May it bring you the needed strength to know that to love and be loved by you is integral to your dad's health and healing.

Wishing you great joy and good success,

rj
I would also like to thank everybody for their well wishes and support.

We have made it back home and for 2 people who it was a habit to drive 9 hours straight (when we were dating I lived in Montreal and rj lived in Detroit we would take turns commuting on the weekends). This last trip took us close to 2 days to drive from Missouri to Detroit this time. We were just exhausted the first night and the 2nd night, we did want to drive pass Toledo only to return to Toledo on Sunday, rj plays for a church in Toledo on Sundays.

But we are safely back home. Thanks all again! We love you!
