I've lost about 30% of my hair so far. I'm not sure if I should shave it now or wait for more to fall out. I hate this waiting game. I've had alopecia since I was 4 years old when most of my hair fell out. It eventually grew back. It's been off and on since, but this is the worst it's been since childhood. It's to the point where it's getting hard to cover up all the bald spots.
Advice? What did you decide to do?
Shave or wait?

Hi Samanta.
I'm looking at it as a man so it may be different. I shaved mine when it got to the point that I was terrified any one would see . But I have AU and lost all my hair in 8 days. But I did shave it before it all fell out. I was in the army so I had short hair and couldn't hide it.
I wish you luck. And you will know when it's time. When your afraid the wind might blow or that just from the usual moving around people might see. Then I'd say it's time.

Hi Smantha,

My x wife shaved her head when her spots got to big to hide, and then had a mold done for the  hair prosthetic that was shipped from New Zealand made with human hair.  Shave it when you are ready its not going to be easy on you.  My X did it with family around for support.
