Does anyone go out in public without a shaved or totally bald head or something on their head? Would it just be too weird to have crazy hair on display? I shaved my head over the summer, and, though I was covered most of the time out of the house (I prefer hats to sunscreen), I felt that bald was an OK look. Now that the weather has cooled down, I've been letting my hair grow, but now I feel like I have to keep my head covered because of what my hair looks like.

I should be excited that I have regrowth, but dense white hair in a strip along the top of my head isn't really my style, and the sparse white hairs elsewhere don't enhance the look. I consider it useless hair, yet I don't really want to shave it off again. I could tidy up the random bits and sport a short mohawk.... Perhaps I am kidding myself that I will want that head start in growth on top when the sides start filling in. Arrrgh. It is so tempting to use my hair as part of a Halloween costume, but I think my husband would not be amused.

It's all about how YOU feel about.  If you're confident, you will radiate confidence and it won't be a worry.  If you're not, well..maybe not a good idea.  I've been dealing with hair loss for over 2 years now (I'm 37) and I am just now started to accept it and become public about it.  I still have hair (I have AGA and Chronic TE) but it's coming out in handfuls.  It's almost time to either shave it or wig it.  I've become public with my struggle very recently and ever since doing so I feel empowered and less depressed about it.  I even started a blog.  Good luck in whatever you choose and know you're NOT alone.
