I've had alopecia areata for a year now, my patches are quite big and my hair fell out quite slowly.

Some hair is still falling out but not as much anymore, the thing is my largest patch had absolutely nothing on it at all until last week! Vellus hairs have showed up. I think it's brilliant! Is this a good sign?

Also a tiny patch has already grown back for me and has its normal colour after a week of having vellus hairs on that one too. Some people say it takes months to get the normal hair back but it came, I'm actually really happy and I think accepting alopecia might help :) but these vellus hairs are a good sign?

Maybe someone could give me insight. My dermatologist also gave my dermovate.
