Has anyone tried topical immunotherapy? I have seen reports of it and how some people with AA, At,and even AU had complete regrowth after trying this for a period of time. Has any tried this method? if so, how was your experience?

heres the test they did incase anyone wants to see it:

Also I have been looking into calosol recovery ointment for some time Has any here tried this treatment? It claims to cause facial hair regrowth. (eyebrows, beard) and they say it's specifically for alopecia. Has anyone tried it?

I remember debating with a surgeon on another forum, about this product.

We took strident corners! lol

She used it and her hair grew back (wow). She threw her wig away (good)

I continued to say it was just coincidence. She even had her photgraph on the site.

Well her hair fell out ( damn). They( calosol) told her to use more! or a different type of calosol.

It all fell out!

Why would you apply  calosol on your foot when you want hair on your head.

To cut a long story short. The Surgeon agrees with me now ( 7 years ago)

I have had many a post with this bloke, who sells calosol.

Steer well clear!!!

Oh and there is another bloke from Israel up to the herbal paste scam.

We might not have hair on our heads but lets keep our brains in our heads.

Hi Dom

I agree with you.

My son is 3 years old and has au. We just started squaric acid 2 months ago. He just began to show signs of regrowth about a week ago. Hopefully it will continue. We tried topical steroids and steroid shots but neither treatment worked. The squaric acid seems to beginning to work.

the only treatment that I know for sure to stimulate a re-growth response outside of restoration surgery is the intra-lesional medical steroid injections with the corticosteroid (brandname Kenalog; generic is triamcinolone (sp) ).--

but, it has to be very consistent for the shots to really be effective and you need like 1-2cc for every 2-inch bald spot and they usually are very skimpy with the treatment,-- but in manhattan I had a really nice med-intern who really was very generous with the dosage and the hair eventualy grew back after about 6months of treatment (every3weeks)--. But, it doesn't prevent future episodes, so you will have to do it off and on based on frequency or recurrence of alopecia episodes...

the good thing about the steroid injection treatment is that it is covered by most insurance--hth!

I just had a small test spot of DNCB put on my scalp last week. Of course, nothing yet, but can update if/when I see results!
