I just wonder if anyone with frontal fibrosing alopecia is experiencing sweats and very strong hot flashes or is it just a menopausal thing ?? I am 70 years old and in the past few years since I first found out i had this alopecia , i have noticed this to be very extreme - with many episodes daily. I would be interested in knowing if others have this problem.

I would talk to your doctor to see if any of your mediation is presenting hair loss. Usually at 70 years old the hot flashes tend to pass. You might want to have the doctor draw blood and see if thyroid is off. Lisa

Hi Jeanne, This is my first posting since joining this support site. I'm almost 63 and well past menopause, and I too get frequent hot flashes with my face covered in sweat. It usually happens after moderate physical activities. This has just started this summer about the same time I was diagnosed with FFA. I'm planning to ask my PA about it at my next appointment.  Joan
