My son has traditionally worn a bucket hat in summer (pre-AA) to keep the sun off his head/face, but he's been complaining a lot this year (not much hair left) that it is very sweaty, and when he takes it off I can confirm he is absolutely glistening. Is there anything a person can do to make a hat breath better when it's right on your skin? Now more than ever I'd like to keep the sun off of his head as much as possible.

thanks!

My son also having this same issue and he irritates sometimes to wearing hats or cap in this hot weather, but it's too necessary for him to keep from sunlight, I bought for him cotton made a hat from Back to School coupons, I am showing you a pic, its really very soft, and much not sweated, he wears it and feel comfy, there are varieties of hats are available there, if you want more options much check there.
