I have Alopecia areata and chose to shave my head. I just couldn't deal with the bald patches, there were a lot and most were a few inches across, three blended into each other and formed a very large bald spot.

The first several hours (about 9hrs) I wore a cotton hat and everything was fine. I got home and took my hat off. Two hours later I put it back on and noticed the spots that I still had hair had already grown stubble back. This stubble made my hat sort of stick to my head in strange spots making it look strange. It isn't a particularly tight hat but the stubble still seemed to grab it and affect the appearance and comfort.

Anyone else experience this? I have a sensitive scalp and don't want to have to shave every day or even twice a day to avoid this (or avoid it till the rest falls out). Is there a cream or powder that would help my hat not stick so much? This is my first experience with hair loss and shaving my head.
