can anybody suggest where I can buy some PU (poly front)material to sew into my wig. I would like to use tape to attach my wig. Thanks.

I believe the product is called derma-fix. Google it and oonfirm.

I'm interested in this too. Googling derma-fix isn't super helpful, it's mostly skincare products or wigs with it already in place. But it's a good starting point.

You can buy dermafix kits from Lori's Wig Site online (not my site, just have the same name. lol) Dermafix works great by itself. You don't need to attach tape to it; it will adhere to your skin on its own.

FYI for everyone, I ordered the Jon Reneau poly from Lori's Wigsite (very good vendor) and found that the material was two-sided.  One side has bare skin "grip" and the other side supposedly works better for attaching tape.  Do a trial run before you sew in for best results (said the girl who had to remove and re-sew).

What I found was that fit was essential.  I sewed some structural netting plus poly strips into a monotop/wefted piece that was somewhat loose in the back and it didn't hold as well in the back or where there was slack.  The places where everything fit seemed to hold better.  Also, I discovered my head was smaller than I thought...  :-)

I assume the notion to having poly strips is that you can remove easily to wash everyday or at least every few days?  I did a "combo" plan of some poly strips with tape strips on the edges for longer term wear and found that in hot weather there was a bit of funky odor building up on the poly by the time I removed it.  The odor washed away easily, though, so don't worry about that.

Ultimately, I think if you have a very good fit and lots of bare skin for it to stick to, the poly strips could be a very good, low-mess solution.
