My daughter and I went to the post office this morning. Let me start by saying that I've had alopecia universalis since I was 6 so I think I've heard almost everything. I go to pick up my package and the woman looks at me and immediately says how beautiful my eyebrows are! I've had many comments. Why don't I have them? Why do I draw them on? But this woman was looking at me and giving me a compliment. She goes on to tell me she has very thin eyebrows and she wishes she had by skills. How beautiful my eyebrows are. I surprised myself and told her I had alopecia and I had no eyebrows since I was 6 and explained why. Then she told me how beautiful my hair was and she would never have guessed. I can honestly say that's the first compliment I've received and im 38 years old.

Renee I just read your post, you are a really lovely looking woman, great cheek bones and beautiful skin. You look terrific in your photo. I am so pleased the post office assistant complimented you because it is over time and totally deserved. Your 'hair' looks fab too by the way. Sending you my best wishes from the UK.

See how one little kind word can make a person's day? Thanks for sharing this story, Miss Renee!
