I have alopecia areata, prior to my bald spots falling out I felt a strange feeling, I guess you could call it tingling. It wasn't very noticeable, but I felt something strange.  The spots respond to steroid injections and grow back. Since yesterday, I have had muscle spasm or twitching in the back of my head. This feeling I have never had before. I am wondering if there is any chance that this may be an indication of new spots about to fall out. Has anyone felt something like this?

Yes, In my experience tingling scalp has occurred before an episode ( I've have 3, two minor (one almost unnoticeable), currently one very very major.

I have heard people say they feel the tingling when hair starts growing back so who knows. Alopecia is just one big mystery which hopefully the scientists will solve soon.

Good luck, try to think the best, as thinking the worse just adds stress to your life (easier said then done).
