Hi, my dermatologist started me on Methotrexate in July.   I never had any problems taking it other than the normal tired, bit of nausea.  But around the same time I started getting a ringing noise in my left ear which was followed with a bit of hearing loss.  I saw a ear specialist and was told I had 50% hearing loss in my left ear.  The ringing he thinks could be acoustic neuroma (tumor on a nerve in the ear or something like that).  My hair loss and ear problem are both on my left side.  My question is for anyone else who is taking methotrexate or who has in the past,  did you notice ringing in your ear while taking the drug?  The doctor won't give me anything for the ringing until they figure out why I have it and of course I am on a waiting list for an mri .  I do have some hair growth on top but lot's of thinning hair now that I am no this drug.  Guess I'm just hoping that the ringing is a side effect of the drug.
