Anyone have lyme and alopecia? If so, how soon after infection did you experience alopecia, does treatment for lyme affect hair fall, etc. My daughter had an episode of rash, swollen joints, etc that I suspect was when she was first infected with lyme, a few months later she experienced her first AA spot. If it isn't lyme, whatever it was, I feel it was her alopecia trigger.

I spoke with the pharmacist and he told me once the lyme is treated w/anitbiotics, it does not reoccur.  It's not a chronic illness with flare ups to my understanding.  I have read where you might have to kill different strains of bacteria.  Thanks for all the info and I will keep you updated!

Yes please do!  This is our first time treating with abx.  I really hope they work. Where are you all from BTW?

Just an update...my daughter is doing so much better.  Her joint pain subsided within days of starting the abx.  Fatigue is gone and she is feeling stronger every day.  Her hairfall has nearly stopped and she has about 1/4 inch of white fuzz all over her head, some appears to be pigmenting.  I am very hopeful.

CMG2, please update on your son.
