Hi!

Really nice to meet you all)) My name is Dasha and I first had AA when I was 11. It was closer to AU. I lived in Ukraine back then and of course docs didn't know what the alopecia means or how to treat it. So I tried  (literally) every possible treatment. Long story short I wore wig for 3 years in school. That was depressing. Since I'm from a small town and kids can be really mean to someone who is different.

After 3 years my hair just started to grow back. Not sure what helped. After that I had bald spots but I started to treat them right away. The only thing I know works for small areas is medical alcohol and cayenne pepper. Just add the pepper to the alcohol and let it stay for a few days. Take a tooth brush and massage it into your bald spot.

A year ago I gave a birth to a beautiful baby girl and in a few months I started to loose my hair. But not in bald spots but just all over my head. Everyone was saying it was normal after giving birth. Before I realized it was A coming back was too late. I was practically bald in  2 months.

I saw dermatologist and he suggested steroids. I refused for now since we are planning another baby and most likely I'll loose the rest of my hair.

After school no wigs for me - only head scarves))

Just want to tell you guys don't give up. And thank you for this amazing and supportive forum. My family supports me but if you have hair you don't understand how the person without hair feels.

And those of you who have few spots just try this alcohol/pepper thing and onion juice. I do it. I know it worked magic for my spots but not for the entire hair.

Thanks so much again :)

P.S. After I gave birth my thyroids stopped working (( Another reason for the hair loss
