I got my first human hair wig in august and its the only wig I own currently. since I was new to wigs at first I didnt really notice any problems but ive noticed that the back of my wigs hair forms like a bump and its making it look really fake. Also the person who made and cut it for me cut it unevenly so one side is longer than the other if i wear it straight and the bangs and frontal sides of the wig dont really fit my face theres not enough front bangs but the sides keep going over the side of my face. The cap also doesnt fit right. Ive been covering up my wig with hats and its getting too warm. I dont know what to do because I cant afford to get it done again or get another wig are there any tips or styles I can do??

Hi Ileah,

I know exactly how you feel.  I've worn a lot of wigs over the years and learned to tweek them myself.  Could you add a picture of it? I might be able to give you some suggestions, but I wouldn't want to do so blindly. If the cap is too big you may be able to take it in.

thats me when i first got the wig i didnt really notice at first but yeah it doesnt look good imo she did a weird way to part it my wig doesnt naturally lay like that she really forced it to go into that position somehow lol

I'm not sure how it lays now, but here are my thoughts:

You can trim the front of the bang (very little) so that it just touches your eyebrows. I would trim the right side of the wig on an angle to extend the bang on that side so that it mirrors the left side. As far as addressing the uneveness of the length you can trim each side on an angle to resolve that. I hope the picture illustrates this a little better.

Also, I use a trimmer comb (not sure of the proper name) when I make changes to my wigs, I find it makes cutting easier plus the cut isn't blunt it's softer.  I hope this helps.

thank you! ill try this out

You're welcome!
