Hello fellow Alopecians!

So my name is Megan and I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata in 2014 about 4 months after my first born daughter was born and with in about a month I decided to shave my head as I only had about 15-20% hair left on my scalp. When my daughter was about a year and a half my hair started to come back almost fully now had about 2 cm of hair probably 80-90% coverage and I was using a product called Just Natural alopecia hair regrow. Soon after that I found out I was pregnant with my son and all my hair fell out! 100% of my hair! He is now 1 month and I have some regrowth and am ready to get back to trying more products. So naturally I came on here to see where to start and get some advice from fellow Alopecians. I decided I would just sign up and after reading many different posts. I do have to say I am quiet surprised at some of the negativity regarding people and their opinions on products to possibly help someone's hair regrowth. Wanted to do some research as my cousin recently started selling Monat and she would like me to give it a try. So decided to take a look at some real life reviews if there happen to be any regarding this specific product. All I came across was bashing people trying to sell products. Yes people sell products to people to make money. Yes some of it is a scam and honestly I have probably spent over 300$ on different products over my time having alopecia but guess what one day something might work and if it doesn't it doesn't. That will be my problem. Just because you gave up hope doesn't mean you need to give up hope for other people or take theirs away. It is after all 2017 and the advancements they have on products is incredible. And people say oh why hasn't anyone heard of it or why are they just finding this out now. Well people because it's all you other negative people bashing the products and word of mouth. And by absolutely no means am I a Just Natural/Monat advocate I haven't even tried and or ordered the stuff(Monat that is). But even if it helps one single other person have full regrowth even if it isn't me I think it speaks for its self. And if trying various products and paying money helps someone cope or helps someone's stress level isn't that okay. It's called hope and one day there could be a cure for alopecia. Every single person will have a different reaction to different products what works for you might not work for me. That doesn't mean that I will tell someone not to use a product or waste their money because guess what if I say that and that product actually would have completely brought back all of their hair. How is that fair. I tried Just Natural and I had COMPLETE hair regrowth. Unfortunately it isn't working the second time around so I am going to try something else. I believe it's because our bodies are constantly changing so what worked for me once isn't going to work again it may be because of my pregnancies or my life style or just cause my darn follicles just don't want to react. Haha. Don't get me wrong, I completely embraced having Alopecia and being bald. To be honest most of the time I loved it I felt empowered and somehow stronger than other people, because I know I had the strength to persevere regardless of what people thought of me. So let me tell you. Put your negative comments away about people selling products. They just might be the person to help you or help someone else. We are humans after all. Be kind.
