How much hair loss is average for FFA? I’m so worried I’m going to lose half my head of hair. I saw a woman that was almost bald except for the back half of her head.

I don't think this question can be answered. The condition varies so much and giving an average does not mean that you will be the average person with FFA. I know this is not the answer you want, but it is true for many chronic conditions. Years ago I submitted to huge radiation for a brain tumor. Afterward I started to develop brain aneurysms. I asked my doc at the time if I were any better off after all that radiation. His answer was that there was no way to know because we do not know what might have happened without the radiation. Did not like the answer but knew he was correct.

In your case there is no way to know how far your FFA will progress. Hopefully not that much, but if it turns out the other way, there are good options. Good luck.

From the reading I’ve done I have to agree with Chris. All we can hope for is that it burns itself out but have a plan and goal in place for the worst case scenario, but don’t give up hope for the best case scenario. Good luck!
