Hi all,

I am new to this site & it is the first alopecia forum i have joined and what a breath of fresh air!I have been living with alopecia since the age of 17-18. Recently i have lost 100% eyelash hair. I was wondering what everyone else's views are on the overall look of strip lashes. I wear them sometimes and find that it just does not look natural enough especially without actually having any hairs of your own... Any advice, tips or personal experience would be appreciated.

HI Nicole,

I find that the "Ardelle" line of lashes look quite realistic.  I wear Ardelle 108.  These can be found online or in your local drug store.  I use a thick eyeliner for the top of the eyelid and you aren't able to see the lash base.  Hope that helps.

Hi Jennifer!

I hope you are well. Thank you so much i will Definitely look those ones up. I notice that its a must to wear liner with the strips which is abit of a shame if you want to go for minimal make-up. Ah well thats life. Do you wear the lashes daily?

I found that Sephora's flair lashes, they are $10 look the most natural on me,however typically I use eyeliner along where my eyelashes used to grow and then use the tip of my mascara brush to but little dots along the same region and so far nobody has noticed mine are all gone.
Hello :)

Thank you very much for replying. I have never heard of that brand i will definitely look them up, hopefully they can ship to the uk. The mascara tip i will deffo try, i didnt think of that before.

Funnily enough nobody had noticed mine either, but i just cant seem to kick the anxiety especially working in a hotel being face to face with guests.

Hugs from nic xx
