Hey Guys,

I have had alopeica for about 5 years. I am considering getting eyebrows tattooed by an artist in Toronto. The artist in Pierre at Perfecting Touch.

Has anybody had experience with eyebrow tats?

If so let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

The site you posted looks pretty good.

Good Luck!

My son had alopecia for 14 years..13 years..AU..now it is AA He is 17 now. So most of his life he has dealt with this..He had the eyebrow tattoo in Feb. 2015..by a local permanent makeup artist. The job was not the greatest..the brows are a little low..but I guess he will live with the results..lesson learned..have your technician draw the brow on exactly where you want it.and make sure they use brush strokes not like a women's brow..solid because it will make all the difference.. Good Luck

Hi could you specify if this was permenant.. the weblink u shared is not working

These tats are permanent but different from regular tats because they are not as deep under the skin. I am still very pleased with mine, and I get them touched up once a year because they do fade. The process is called microblading. It seems everyone is offering it now. If you decide to do it, be careful to get a very good artist.

When I got my eyebrows done for the first time I had a few eyebrows left. for a guide line  I also brought in a picture of me pre alopecia.

I'd like to add that for eyebrow tattooing less is more. Don't go dramatic. You can always go for touch ups!

Hi,

I am thinking of having eyebrow tattoos to, i have had alopecia since the age of 8 on and off.i am now 47, for the last few years it been AU.

I have been drawing on my eyebrows for about a year using hard eyebrow pencils, which now takes me about half an hour in the mornings, then i seal them with some makeup sealer, but it dont last very well for the whole day, so thats why i have been thinking about getting them done, the problem is as a male its hard to find an makeup artist that has experience with male eyebrow tats..and i am living in Germany right now so its going to be hard to find the right person,.i think they need to use the very finest of needles to do it to look any good, but good luck with that, hopefully we get to see the pictures.

Thank you to all those that replied with your thoughts on eyebrow tats for men.

After thinking it over for a while, I decided to get temporary eyebrows done before getting anything permanent done. This way if I did not like the look, I could remove it right away.

As it turned out, it looked fantastic. Very natural looking and it really made me feel better about my overall look.

The procedure that she used was called sleek brows. You can learn about it here: http://www.sleekbrows.com/

The eyebrows only lasted for about 9 days on me. For some people they do last a little longer.

I now have an appointment in January to have the permanent procedure done. She will use a procedure called microblading. It was developed by the same folks that developed sleek brows.

I cannot wait to have it done. I will post pictures if folks are interested.

I would encourage anyone that is wresting with the idea of having eyebrows tattooed on to go ahead with it. I found that it very realistic...much more so than I could have imagined before getting the work done.

Also the tattoo artist that I use is just west of Toronto. I will gladly refer anyone that is interested.

Thanks for providing this info! This is something I have been seriously considering for a while. Could you please provide pics of what yours look like.  Also do you know if the ink that is used is different from regular tattoos? From what i understand the ink used for regular tattoos tends to "bleed" when done for fine work such as eyebrow "hairs".

Thanks again for this!

Wow that looks pretty good actually. I thought they were just for women. Is Toronto the only place that does it? And have u made up ur mind?
Sorry I should have kept reading. Thanks for that link I am considering it as well. Thanks again

No worries....I have an appointment next week to get the tattooing process done. Once it is done and healed up I will post pictures.

How much is something like that bro? Is Canada the only place that does this?
