I am 31 and I was diagnosed with AA in May. I have multiple spots, one big, others smaller and in various stages of loss/growth. Lately I've noticed my right eyebrow thinning on the inside half. It is shedding quite a lot and I have to use a pencil to fill it in daily. Today I have noticed that my other eyebrow is developing a spot now. Is eyebrow involvement any indication of scalp loss getting worse? Or is it all random guesswork?

thanks for your reply. I figured it can't be good. :/ I have been to the dermatologist. He injected one spot to see if it would help. All it did was indent my scalp and give me a migraine that lasted days. I have chosen not to continue with treatment. I have decided if it gets to the point where my loss is no longer able to be hidden, I will shave my head and wear wigs. I have naturally very dark hair but I've been keeping it blond to help hide my spots.

Mine actually started with the loss of the inside of my eyebrow. I had injections, a lot of them, and after about three months it grew back. After it grew back my hairdresser noticed a golf ball size bald spot on the back if my scalp. I immediately went to the dermatologist for more injections. Ugh. Those hurt! It has started to grow back, but reached twice the golf ball size before it did. I've been for two rounds of steroid shots at about 10 each time. Derm says come back in three months. I don't see it getting bigger or hair regrowing, but patiently await the next visit to see what's happening with it. No new spots yet! Fingers crossed. I will say I am less than enthused about the dermatologists "no big deal" attitude. Thinking about changing.
