Hi.  My daughter (8yo) was recently diagnosed with alopecia areata.  She has been rapidly losing her hair and it's getting to the point where it's hard to hide the bald spots.  I was wondering how other parents are dealing with this in the classroom.  She is a shy girl but doesn't want to wear a hat.  Should I go to her classroom and explain her diagnosis with her classmates?  What would I even say?  I appreciate your input.  This has all happened so quickly that I'm still trying to come to terms with it all.

Thanks,

Sandra
