Take a look into the paleo diet, there is also something called the autoimmune protocol. Both are fantastic for managing autoimmune response, decreasing infrlammation, and putting the body back into a state of balance. Good luck!

I don't think this would relate to a 13 year old girl but my hair started to fall out when I was training and dieting for a sports model competition. Actually before the hair started to fall out my menstrual cycles stopped. The calorie deficit was too low and I was on an old fashioned bodybuilding diet which meant cutting out carbs. Luckily for me I found a health shop where the nutritionist was also a competitive figure bodybuilder and she wrote out a new plan. I had to do carb cycling and up the calories to correct the situation.

I start the day with a large glass of water with the content of one freshly squeeze lemon - this stabilises the body's ph balance which has numerous beneficial affects, particularly in relation to regeneration and healing.

I now only use organic, 100% natural 'free-from' toiletries. In the UK we have brands such as Green People and Faith in Nature; In the States there is the Dr Bronner's soap range. I currently use products from each brand and would highly recommend the move to 'free-from' cosmetics and toiletries. It could also be fun to enguire into make these yourself as home!

Organic foods, although, in practice this may mean finding the right balance; some organic products are scarce. Eat more raw foods. Are gluten and lactose an issue? Have these been ruled out? I'd also advocate juicing.

I hope this information is helpful.

Has this helped out your alopecia at all Stephen? What do you think caused your alopecia? Congrats on making such a great chance, best of luck.

I have had a lot of regrowth on my head in the past two months, however, three large and several not so large patches persist. As to my limbs I'm not sure. I can take and upload a photo for comparison if this would help; the contrast is quite dramatic - denial certainly helped me during the most severe stage!

I hope this information helps and the best of luck and wishes to you!
