Hi,

I was given dermovate lotion to use once a day on my AA patches. I think I've probably lost about 40/50% of my scalp hair - I've got 24 patches, some big some small.

My dermatologist said it takes 4 weeks for the hairs to grow from the base of the root to the top of the skin.... but how long does it actually take for the steroid to prevent further hair shedding? I've been using it for about a week now, and I think there is a reduction in hair fall but I don't know if that's just massively wishful thinking.

I don't mind waiting for my hair to grow back. It has become a bit noticeable now but I just want my hair to stop falling out. Does anyone know how long it usually takes?

I use to take this with Rogaine and a cortisone injection once a month. I would usually see results within 3 weeks. I wasn't to crazy about Clobetasol because it would temporarily bleach my skin. I have AU btw
