Hi.

How does everyone feel about going completely bald or the wearing of wigs?

I have shaved my head with a razor for over 2 years now and prior to that did try wearing wigs but found them itchy, uncomfortable and above all made me hot and bothered.

One wig was a real hair one and the other was a synthetic one.

Just wondered what others thought.

Hi Aimee

Thanks for the rely appreciated

I just cant get on with them, why dont you feel comfortable without them?? I love that feeling of exhilaration when I have shaved and got ready to go out sometimes i do stop and thing especially when out with friends that have all got ready at mine.....although the time it takes them to do their hair I am glad I can shave and go lol.....

I know what you mean you have to feel confident at all time....everyone I know and I am well known where I live here have only ever known me bald so when I think sometimes my hair is growing back I get the oh no not sure I would like you with hair you just wouldnt be Tina....dont think I would win that one.

Have a look through my pictures(it might not look so daunting to go out without the wig or the scarves at the end of the day Bald is Beaufiful!!!

The one of me with hair was taken in January 2012 when it grew back took about 2 years to get there, then I had more back surgery and within 6 month I had to shave it all off again as it started to fall out again very quickly, mine is stressed related probably to do with the 3 back operations I have had and 13 minor ones......again this year its started growing back more hair less patches....but on the 29th June another major back operation so dont hold out much luck for it to stay but never say never.

Thankx for reading hope to speak again

I just recently stopped wearing the wigs. I just got tired of the being hot and itchy.  At first, I was a little skeptical but I just embraced the baldness and I am okay.

Hi! I usually wear headbands. I have tried wearing wigs, but I found it difficult to keep the wig in place while working, since I'm a server/bartender. I tried taping it, though that still didn't work. I don't mind being bald, most of the time. And I agree with Aimee, it all depends on what you are comfortable with.

Hi!

Shaving my head was the best thing for me. I found wigs to be uncomfortable, hot and itchy. That included the human hair. In addition, the different fabrics (wigs, headbands, scarves, etc.) often irritate my skin. I've been shaving my head in some form (sides, back, full head) sense 2006. It's the best thing I could have done. But I believe each person must do what's comfortable for them.

I agree its part of my ritual when I am going out .... feel like I havent made the effort when I haven't shaved it!!

And quite agree that ever person should do what they feel comfortable with x

Hi, I love my lace wigs, my thin skin realistic looking wigs and my gripper like wigs! These are all personalized to fit me and my head shape and personality.  Wigs don't usually cause me to over heat, that is usually do to my personal summers. I also love the option to go out without any hair at all.  I shave off my hair as well; but the variety my wigs give me is what I love the most.  I can rock short, long, red hair, jet black, chestnut brown  ~ Oh the fun of it all!  I even play tennis and workout in my wigs.  To each his own, right!

Well said xx

I was bald. I was felt shy in public. So, I got treatment from http://www.clinicspots.com/hairtransplant/delhi/

So, The natural hair is better option than any other.

Being a bald person, it was a very bad experience for me. i had lost my prestige and feeling shy in public.

I tried wigs & hair patches but no benefit at all.. At last i underwent hair transplant surgery in Delhi and now after 7 months of my surgery i feel more confident & younger.

Look at my pictures and see the difference.

I think it comes down to choice, you have to do what's right for YOU.  People will always have their opinions, and stereotypes, ignorance, and so on will always be around.
