Wow, this is amazing. Too bad I'm in the SF Bay Area. I would be interested in participating. I've had the disease since I was 23, now 43. It came at a time I'm my life where I never thought I could move forward. But yet you do somehow. It's been an up and down struggle with acceptance. Now I have a toddler who has some hair loss. Time will tell if it's AA. This has certainly opened up my emotional struggles with AA and now my fears for her.

Best of luck! Please share. Have you approached NAAF about this? They may be able to assist you.

Hey Michelle,

That's too bad you're not closer! I'm sorry to hear about your struggle, I'm starting to understand a bit better just how devastating it can be from people involved in the project. I will be meeting shortly with a mom and son who both have universalis.

Thanks for your well wishes...I've just revamped the project blog - alopeciaphotoproject.wordpress.com if you'd like to take a look. The way I see it, this project can be shared everywhere to raise awareness, even if it's just social media like instagram and facebook.

Feel free to Facebook me - search for Daniel Alexander Photography so I can keep you updated about the project. I haven't contacted NAAF yet as I have a tremendous amount of support from CANAAF and I want to try to build the project slowly over time.
