But there's another side that feels the same. Hopefull to one day have hair. So I've been on the fense for the past yr. my alopecia is the worst it has been. I lost my eye brows and most hair on my head. I'm just starting to feel like IM DONE with the hope and accepting that I just will not have hair.

Embracing wigs... for men?
I don't think wigs for male alopecians is very popular... it shows some insecurity and nothing is worst that insecurities specially for a men. This is also the reason why this disease is so hard on feelings.
On the other hand, I believe wig on a female could look very natural.

This.

Even wearing fake eyebrows is taboo for us men (hasn't stopped me from wearing them though).

If the OP has enough money, maybe scalp micropigmentation would be an option? I know I am going down that road.

Have you seen that big barrel of Alopecia tears in Wilmington ? It must have passed your way?

Virtually everybody has sobbed a few tears into that barrel, including me.

You may not accept Alopecia or believe you can live with Alopecia

Basically there are three types of people with Alopecia (long term)

1 Those who  live by the next/future treatment/cure/fad.

Alopecia has made them so miserable and ruined their life that only new hair can make them "normal" again.

They must KEEP trying! Their happiness depends on hair.

Silly, silly  when you have some perspective.

How can hair make you happy when you have so many rich/famous people living clown lives?

2 The next group withdraw and pull the drawbridge up on their life. They live a restricted, reclusive life. No one can see them bald and certain things are off limits.

They deem themselves not worthy of love or friendship. Alopecia is an affliction that puts people off them and therefore has ruined their love life/life

What a load of cock and bull!

3 The next group are the "shockers". Alopecia has shocked he very foundation of their appearance. A period of sadness/tears ensues. However the shock has jolted them to "wonder and experiment".

They filter their every day experiences and ponder.

They read and follow the experiences of other people with Alopecia.

They fall back on their beliefs/values/religion and ponder.

They follow what other people have done.

Then they act!

Then they overlook their actions.

Perhaps they are on the road to acceptance?

You've got 20 years on me with this thing called alopecia.

I guess I'm lucky and was able to come to terms with it in about a year or so.

Of course I still have my moments. Probably always will.

Wishing you the best!
